Heart Handmade Paper Necklace and Brooch
This unisex heart handmade paper necklace is made from either 100% cotton or 100% hemp fiber, beaten on a Hollander beater, and cast from an original plaster cast. They are either painted black, silver, or iridescent purple. The iridescent one is both a brooch and a necklace. The black is slightly shiny and the silver and iridescent purple ones are very shiny. The heart has ridges. They look like what Klingons from Star Trek Next Generation have on their foreheads. These necklaces are made for those who love to wear unique sculptural art! The necklaces look like they may be heavy but they are extremely light. This is a way to wear distinctive chunky jewelry for next to no weight (0.4 to 1.2 ounces!) The chains are nickel-free. This is HANDMADE and made in the USA.
Interesting history: the making of paper was invented in China earlier (2nd century BC) than 105 AD when Tsai Lun officially recorded it into the court records. Papermaking stayed a prized and highly sought-after secret from the West for 700 years.
